The overseas Pakistanis conference was organized by the district administration for the immediate solution of the problems of overseas Pakistanis. In which Vice Chairperson Punjab Overseas Commission Syed Tariq Makhdoom Al Hassan and Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Amir Jan presided over the conference. On this occasion, DIG Operations Lahore Afzal Kausar, Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas, Chairman District Lahore Overseas Committee Ali Naveed Bhatti, Heads of Lahore Departments, DCs of all districts, DPOs and other officers of Lahore Division were also present. . Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission Syed Khadim Abbas, while briefing the participants of the conference, said that according to the Overseas Act 2021, District Overseas Pakistanis Committees have been constituted in all the districts of Punjab. Who have been given powers to solve the problems of all Overseas Pakistanis according to Act 2021. He said that 12,000 overseas cases are pending in Punjab, of which more cases are pending in Lahore Division. All the ADCRs and SPs presented their respective district reports in the conference.
Vice-Chairperson Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmoodul Hassan said that under one window in the Overseas Pakistanis Commission, overseas Pakistanis are being provided with facilities for filing revenue, NADRA and urgent complaints under one roof. With the help of Punjab Information Technology Board, facility of filing complaints is also being provided through mobile applications. Any overseas Pakistanis can file their complaints at any time from anywhere in the world. He further informed that many overseas Pakistanis' problems and complaints are related to their district or city. So in this situation the assistance of the local administration is required to resolve the complaints of overseas Pakistanis quickly. Because after receiving complaints from Pakistanis living in overseas, they are referred to the administration of the respective districts for further action. In this regard, the role of the district administration along with the Overseas Pakistanis Committees at the district level is important. Vice-Chairperson Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmood ul Hassan told the meeting that the largest load of cases is in Lahore district. Our effort is to resolve the cases of overseas Pakistanis in Lahore on top priority. He said that the administration support of Lahore district is required to solve the cases immediately. With the help of which we can facilitate our overseas community. He further said that in this way, meetings are being held with the district officers in the rest of the districts as well. So that overseas Pakistanis are being provided support at their doorsteps in every district. Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Amir Jan while talking to the conference said that the purpose of the overseas conference is to make every officer aware of his responsibility and accountability. So that the pending cases of overseas Pakistanis in Lahore can be provided relief as soon as possible. he said special centers for overseas will be created under the Punjab Overseas Commission in all districts. Property purchase and guidance should be provided from the special centers. Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Amir Jan instructed all the officers that the committee will sit in Lahore not every two weeks to solve the problems of overseas. And the Commissioner Lahore while giving instructions said that SP and ADCR level officers will work for overseas. In the conference, the Commissioner Lahore gave Nankana district the most important target. That district Nankana Sahib should solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis and bring them to zero level. He said that in the absence of the District Overseas Chairman, the DC and DPO will chair the Overseas Committee meeting themselves and the officers will be responsible for solving their problems. Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Amir Jan while giving instructions said that there will be zero tolerance on illegal possessions and immediate action will be taken. All the citizens living in Lahore Division are entitled to equal and complete rights. They are the image ambassadors of Pakistan in the overseas world. And it is our responsibility to protect their rights.
