Expatriate gets back possession of land worth Rs 24 million

As a result of the efforts made by Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, a UK based Pakistani has got back possession of his agricultural land worth Rs. 24 Million. This was stated by Vice Chairperson OPC, Shaheen Khalid Butt and Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti while presiding over the weekly meeting of the officers. DG  Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari, Additional DG Agha Yousaf, Directors Asad Naeem, Raja Zubair and other senior officers attended the meeting. VC and Commissioner OPC informed that Sultan Muhammad, settled in London, UK, lodged a complaint that his nephew has forcefully occupied his 8.5 acre agricultural land situated in village 11-L,Tehsil Chicha watni, District Sahiwal. This complaint was referred to District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Sahiwal and with the help of members of DOPC, the said land was got vacated and handed over to its owner.
