Role of administration and police vital to resolve expatriates issues, Afzaal Bhatti

Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti has said that by virtue of vibrant input of field officers at district level, complaints of Overseas Pakistanis can be addressed early. He was presiding over a meeting to review the resolution process of complaints of Overseas Pakistanis in Sahiwal Division. Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Ali Bahadur Qazi, Additional DG OPC, DIG Agha Yousaf and civil and police high ups of Sahiwal Division also attended the meeting. Afzaal Bhatti said that complainants of overseas Pakistanis be decided on purely merits basis and proceedings in this regard be uploaded on OPC web portal regularly. He further directed that 2 meetings of District Overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) be held in a month. He appreciated the efforts of civil and police officers of Sahiwal Division in resolution of the issues of Overseas Pakistanis. Commissioner Sahiwal Division Ali Bahadur Qazi told on this occasion that problems of Overseas Pakistanis are being solved on priority basis and a comprehensive policy is being followed in this regard. He instructed the field officers to vigorously pursue the issues faced by Overseas Pakistanis so that maximum numbers of complaints could be solved. Certain complaints of Overseas Pakistanis also came under discussion during the meeting and Commissioner OPC and Commissioner Sahiwal Division issued necessary instructions to resolve the complaints.
