Director General Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari has said that there is a need for collective efforts to safeguard the rights of Overseas Pakistanis and role of district administration and Police is pivotal in this regard. He was presiding over a meeting to review the resolution process of the complaints of Overseas Pakistanis in Sheikhupura, Kasur and Nankana Sahib Districts. Additional DG OPC Agha yousaf, Additional Commissioner Coordination Usman Khalid, civil and police high ups of the above mentioned districts; MPA Pir Ashraf Rasul attended the meeting. DG OPC said that by virtue of vibrant input of field officers at district level, complaints of Overseas Pakistanis can be addressed early. He further said that field officers should ensure at least two meetings of District Overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) in a month and proceedings regarding redressal of complaints be uploaded on OPC Web Portal regularly. Additional Commissioner Coordination Usman Khalid on this occasion told that one separate meeting of Lahore Division is being conducted on monthly basis to review the pace of resolution of the issues faced by the Overseas Pakistanis.
