Director General Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari held a meeting with the District and Session Judge, Lahore, Abid Hussain Qureshi in his office and appraised him about the details of 40 pending cases of expatriate Pakistanis in the courts. Director Legal OPC Raja Muhammad Zubair and president District Bar Association Ch Tanveer were also present on this occasion. District and Session Judge, Lahore issued instructions,on the spot, to the relevant courts that pending cases of the overseas Pakistanis be decided on priority basis . He further said that any undue delay regarding decisions of expatriate cases would not be tolerated. DG OPC on this occasion said that instructions to the lower Judiciary regarding early disposal of the cases of Overseas Pakistanis would provide substantial relief to expatriate Pakistanis as they come to Pakistan for a shorter period of time and cannot continue pursuing their cases due to paucity of time. Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari also briefed the District and Session Lahore about the performance of OPC and steps being taken for early redressal of the complaints of Overseas Pakistanis.
