A two-member delegation of British High Commission, headed by consul for Pakistan and Afghanistan Ann Cowan visited the office of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab and held talks with Vice Chairperson Waseem Akhtar. VC OPC apprised the members of delegation about the complaint redressal mechanism of the institution and initiatives being taken for the welfare of expatriate Pakistanis. He said that British High Commission can directly intimate OPC about problems of expatriate Pakistanis settled in UK. Waseem Akhtar assured the members of visiting delegation that all out efforts would be exerted to facilitate UK based Overseas Pakistanis. British High Commission Consul, Ann Cowan while lauding the efforts of OPC said that this institution is playing a pivotal role in redressing the issues faced by expatriate Pakistanis. Highlighting the performance of the institution Waseem Akhtar said that OPC has emerged as an effective platform to help and facilitate the expatriates. Head of Consular Operation Albert David was also part of the delegation.
