Delegation of Saudi investors visits OPC

A five member delegation of Saudi Arabian investors headed by Meshal Al Otaibi visited Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab and held talks with Vice Chairperson Waseem Akthar and DG Usman Anwar. DG OPC while giving detailed presentation about functioning of the institution told that OPC is playing an active role to settle the issues of Overseas Pakistanis. Speaking on this occasion VC OPC Waseem Akhtar said that Punjab Province has plenty of resources and opportunities for foreign investors and they should invest in different fields of interest. Punjab Government offers lucrative incentives to investors, especially in Energy, Agriculture, Livestock & Dairy Development, Mines & Minerals, Tourism and Infrastructure sector. He informed that OPC is an integral part of the efforts to generate foreign investment and Punjab Board of Investment and Trade is providing complete technical assistance to potential investors to set up new projects in the province. Waseem Akhtar said that OPC is working on fast track basis and Overseas Pakistanis can contact OPC any time for resolution of their issues. Members of Saudi delegation showed keen interest in different sectors for investment. Directors OPC Asad Naeem and Mehr Khalid ware also present during meeting. Members of delegations also visited various sections of OPC and witnessed complaint registration mechanism.
