OPC helps Overseas Pakistani to get rid of wrong murder case

An Overseas Pakistani, who was wrongly implicated in a murder case, has been exonerated due to the efforts of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab. Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti while giving details in this regard, informed that Muhammad Akthar, settled in Lancashire UK, lodged a complaint that he has been wrongly involved in the FIR of a murder case ,occurred in District Gujrat in 2012,while at that time  he was in UK. Afzaal Bhatti said that this case was handed over to Additional DG, OPC, DIG, Agha Yousaf, who with the help of Gujrat police investigated the case. During investigation, Overseas Pakistani Muhammad Akthar was found not guilty and Gujrat police has submitted its report in the court.
