OPC Punjab and WCOP UK, INKS MoU

With a view to create awareness among Overseas Pakistanis diaspora regarding identification of their problems and resolution through different Government Departments at their home land, Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab and World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis (WCOP), UK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed during an event arranged by WCOP in central London, UK. Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti and Chairman WCOP Syed Qamar Raza signed the document representing their organizations. Giving details in the regard Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti told that both organizations are working for the welfare of Overseas Pakistanis and to enhance their safe investment in Pakistan. Both parties are desirous to cooperate with each other for achieving their shared objectives of serving the Overseas Pakistanis. He said that Overseas Pakistanis have great potential to contribute to the development and progress of the country and according to MoU, OPC will facilitate Overseas Pakistanis in lodging their complaints in appropriate manners and will try to resolve such complaints through arbitration in District Overseas Pakistanis Committees avoiding lengthy process. OPC would also Help Overseas Pakistanis by following up their cases in various Courts of Law for their swift resolution. Afzaal Bhatti told that similarly WCOP will hold seminars and workshops for awareness of Overseas Pakistanis and would establish contact with Overseas Pakistanis through social media, magazines and electronic media, etc. It would also Sensitize Overseas Pakistanis on the working of OPC and its complaint resolution process. WCOP will help OPC to organize Road Shows in various countries and will encourage and guide Overseas Pakistanis to make investments in Pakistan.
