Expatriate Pakistani gets possession of land worth Rs 8 million

As a result of the intervention of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, an expatriate Pakistani has got possession of his 19 Kanal land worth Rs 8 Million. This was stated by Commissioner (OPC) Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti while presiding over the departmental meeting. Director General OPC, Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari and other senior officers attended the meeting. Afzaal Bhatti told that Arshad Javed, settled in Saudi Arabia, lodged a complaint that he bought 6 Acre, 2 Kanal agricultural land from some persons in Chak 431, Tehsil Burewala, District Vehari but he was not given the possession of 19 Kanal and 7 Marla land by the previous owners. This complaint was referred to District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Vehari and with the efforts of members of DOPC, the Overseas Pakistani got possession of his remaining land. Afzaal Bhatti further said that expatriate Pakistanis can contact, OPC, anytime for redressal of their complaints.
